Co&So is a consortium of cooperatives located in Tuscany region which includes 40 social and not social cooperatives working in the social and cultural fields. Co&So consists of 29 employees who provide services to the associated.
The main services are:
administration, monitoring the calls and as a consequence to submit calls most on public procurement, offering European opportunities in order to promote innovation in the cooperatives in terms of improving employees’ competences and services, quality certification, communication. All together the staff working in the associated cooperatives is 3000 professionals and the annual income of Co&So is about €90.000.000 which is composed by the services provided by all the cooperatives. In Co&so there is a special office working just on European funding with very skilled staff who has more than 10-years experience in the field. Areas of Activities in which the CO&SO and its cooperatives provide their services are:
• Social care, healthcare and housing;
• Culture and tourism;
• Education and youth;
• Support to migrants, asylum seekers and refugees as well as to other disadvantaged groups;
• Vocational trainings and job placements. Taking only into consideration the educational services for children there are 6 cooperatives working in the area of Florence, Lucca, Grosseto, Prato and Arezzo and around 60 services from nursery to primary schools managed some on behalf of the Public Authorities, some Privately, there are about 650 qualified working in this sector.

The Municipality of Lousada is an institution of local public administration. It aims to pursuit the interests of the population in the territorial space of Lousada Council. The city assumes itself as the center of the region denominated Vale do Sousa since it is situated in its geographic center. It has approximately 50.000 inhabitants

The Social and Child Protection Directorate is a public institution under the Harghita County Council. The institution implements government policies and enforces social strategies to prevent and combat social exclusion and poverty.
It is the major social service provider in Harghita in the area of youth welfare and protection/assurance of rights of adults at risk, including financial benefits for people with disabilities. The Directorate provides family-type (foster care) and residential care for around 1100 children and young adults separated from their parents, aged 0-26. In-family services are assured by the counseling and crises intervention services. Furthermore the Directorate runs care centres for adults, for children with severe disabilities and for persons with severe psychiatrically disorders and protected homes for care-leavers to support transition from care to independent life.
The Directorate comprises cc.800 employees: administrative and professional staff, residential care workers, foster parents.
